The ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet with HumidAir is a whisper-quiet, auto-adjusting device intended for use to treat obstructive sleep apnea. The AirSense 10 AutoSet is an auto CPAP machine. AutoPAP machines “automate” the pressure setting to match your needs at any moment. These machines move the level of pressure up and down as needed by looking for obstructions or pauses in breathing. The AirSense 10 AutoSet monitors breathing patterns and automatically adjusts the airway pressure to ensure ideal sleep apnea therapy at the most comfortable pressure possible.

The AirSense 10 AutoSet is equipped with a state of the art feature set intended to help you fall asleep and stay asleep so that you get a great night’s rest. AutoCPAP therapy tailored to your every breath

The AirSense 10 AutoSet uses ResMed’s enhanced airway monitoring algorithm that gets input from every breath you take. The AirSense 10 detects and adjusts for flow limitations, snoring, and apnea events. The AirSense 10 AutoSet migrates the delivered pressure at the airway up and down to ensure you get the sleep settings you need throughout the night. When breathing is less obstructed, it ramps down the pressure. When breathing is more obstructed, it ramps up the pressure.

Sleep onset detection sends a signal to the AirSense 10 AutoSet, telling it when to kick into action. The airway monitoring algorithm also titrates settings gently so that your sleep is not impacted as pressures rise or fall.

User-friendly sleep therapy from start to stop each night

From the time you put on your mask until you take it off, the ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet is working to meet the needs of every breath. An AutoRamp feature at startup gradually increases the delivered airway pressure. The AutoRamp can be configured with a timer or with SmartStart and SmartStop monitoring. When SmartStart and SmartStop are toggled on, the AirSense10 starts the ramp when it detects a breath and turns off pressure delivery when it detects mask removal at the end of therapy.

ResMed’s EasyBreathe feature provides expiratory pressure relief. During inspiration, the delivered pressure stays steady to overcome airway obstruction. When EasyBreathe is turned on, the pressure drops slightly during exhalation to make breathing out feel more natural. Expiratory pressure relief is particularly helpful for sleep apnea patients who need higher airway pressures.

An onboard MaskFit test allows you to confirm your mask is fitting well before drifting off to sleep. If a leak is detected you can adjust and quickly retest.

The HumidAir humidification system is built into the AirSense 10. Using a humidifier to reduce dryness of the mouth or nose has never been simpler. The humidifier slides out for filling with distilled water, then slides into the machine’s casing, safely out of the way. The HumidAir humidifier can be used with or without a heated circuit. Eight levels of humidification are selectable without a heated circuit. When coupled with the ResMed’s ClimateLine Air Heated Tubing, the HumidAir humidifier accesses the AirSense 10’s automated ClimateControl system. The ClimateControl system automatically adjusts temperature and humidification levels, so the user does not have to navigate menus or make setting changes regardless of the room’s temperature. The ClimateLine Air Heated tube also has a 360-degree swivel at the machine to support user movement.

The AirSense 10’s intuitive interface and user-friendly controls pair with a color LCD screen. The screen uses an ambient light sensor to adjusts screen brightness up and down as needed. The sensor dims the screen during nighttime hours so that neither you nor your partner is bothered by the glow during sleep.

360-degree monitoring

An embedded cellular chip delivers information to you and your clinicians about each therapy session. The MyAir smartphone application for both Apple and Android phones provides you with access to summaries about your sleep therapy as well as educational resources.

The AirSense 10’s software captures a wide range of inspiratory flow limitations. Advanced detection for non-obstructive sleep events, such as central apnea, Cheyne Stokes breathing, and respiratory effort arousal events gives your care team ongoing insight into your sleep therapy needs and reduces the need for sleep lab visits.

The RemoteAccess software also functions over the cellular connection. Your care team can view your data, update your machine, adjust settings or troubleshoot problems without a need for you to configure a link to your Wi-Fi or home network. Data can also be stored and shared using an SD memory card(not included).

Set-Up & Maintenance

  • Place the ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet on a sturdy surface within easy reach of the power outlet.
  • Place the device below head height to prevent it from falling over onto the user.
  • Routine maintenance and cleaning are essential contributors to successful sleep therapy and satisfaction.
  • Use distilled water in the humidifier to reduce bacterial growth and to prevent mineral deposit build-up.

Filter Maintenance

  • The air filter should be changed at least every six months.
  • Check the filter regularly for holes or blockages and change sooner than every six months if needed.

  • Wipe the exterior with a dry cloth.

Part Cleaning (including humidifier)

  • Hand wash in warm water with a mild dish soap.

  • Hang the tubing with both ends pointing toward the ground while drying.

Do not clean with products containing alcohol, scents, antibacterial agents, antiseptics, bleach, chlorine, or moisturizers.

FAQ

What is Card-to-Cloud (C2C)?
C2C, or Card-to-Cloud, refers to the ability of healthcare providers to access patient therapy and usage data via the device’s SD card. While all ResMed devices capture and safely store patient nightly usage data, Air10™ C2C devices cannot relay data directly to the cloud. However, there are steps that can be taken so the data is available for the patient and clinician. Clinicians can use AirView™ to log patient data using the Air10 C2C devices by manually downloading the data off the patient’s SD card, located on the side of the Air10 C2C device. 

Will C2C devices come with an SD card?
Yes. All C2C devices come with a compatible SD card installed in the device.

Why is ResMed offering C2C devices?
To serve the constantly growing backlog of patients waiting to start therapy or to replace a device that is at the end of its design life, they're temporarily adding C2C PAP device to their fleet of connected sleep and respiratory care devices.

Adding C2C devices to ResMed's portfolio of offerings is a temporary decision specifically aimed at alleviating the unmet needs of hundreds of thousands of patients worldwide waiting ofr ResMed PAP therapy while CAM (Communications Access Module) supply remains constrained.

How can I identify that the device is a C2C device?
Air10 C2C devices are identifiable by the following:

  • Air10 C2C devices have unique model numbers
  • Air10 C2C devices will have unique labeling
  • When powered on, Air10 C2C devices will not have any cellular bars on the top-right corner of the home screen

Will I be able to us myAir app with AirSense 10 C2C devices?
No. Patients will not have visibility to their therapy and usage data within the myAir app. The myAir app will not capture the patient's sleep data from the Air10 C2C device.

How do patients see how they are performing on therapy with an Air10 C2C device?
Patients will be able to see their nightly data on the device home screen each morning, and view their therapy reports by accessing the Sleep Report menu on the home screen.

For patients to have access to comprehensive therapy details within the Sleep Report menu, ensure that Essentials Plus is selected on the device. Essentials Plus can be enabled within the Clinical Menu by selecting Settings, followed by Essentials and finally by selecting Plus.

By enabling Essentials Plus, you can allow highly-engaged patients to access additional features, including changing mask type, EPR (if available), SmartStart and Run Warmup (if water tub available).

Which accessories can I use with the Air10 C2C devices?
AirSense 10 C2C devices are compatible with all existing AirSense 10 accessories and components. Air10 device accessories and components will have no change to current model numbers.

How will clinicians see how patients are performing on therapy with an AirSense 10 C2C device?
Clinicians will be able to use AirView to log data from patients using Air10 C2C devices by manually downloading the data off the device’s SD card.

What is the difference in the three types of tubing that are available for use with the AirSense 10?
The ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet is compatible with standard CPAP tubing as well as ResMed’s ClimateLine tubing and SlimLine tubing. The ClimateLine tubing is a heated wire tube that takes feedback from the AirSense’s climate control system to optimally regulate temperature and humidity. ResMed’s SlimLine tubing is 40% lighter and 20% thinner than the standard CPAP tube, so it’s great for travel and for anyone who wants less drag on the mask.

Can I take the AirSense 10 on a plane?
Yes, the AirSense 10 AutoSet is FAA approved. Put it in airplane mode during air travel. The machine comes with a travel bag and should not be counted against your carry on luggage allotment. Also, do not use the humidifier on board a plane. You will need a power supply.

How does the AirSense 10 AutoSet differ from the AirSense 10 AutoSet for Her?
Both machines are Auto CPAP devices and contain the same feature set. The AirSense 10 AutoSet for Her uses a slightly different algorithm when adjusting pressures. The algorithm factors in physiological differences between men and women. Women, for example, may need less pressure to overcome the same degree of flow obstruction.

I had a ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet that I had acquired through my insurance last year, but had to return it due to hidden costs and fees. I loved the machine, but at the time I couldn't afford what my insurance was charging me for it.

A year later, and after using a loaner CPAP from a family member of mine, I found this website selling this for far cheaper than my insurance was charging me for, and with way more affordable payments.

Unlike the other Reviews I've seen I have had no issues with my ResMed CPAP. It's quiet, and I have customized the settings myself so that I get the best sleep for myself from my device. I didn't even have to worry about getting my prescription from my sleep doctor to get this unit.

Just FYI, this does not come with the ResMed SD Card. You will still be able to use this device and the myAir app without the SD Card; however, the data collection for the app is a lot slower without it, and you won't be able to share the data with your sleep doctor if you need to. The SD Card is sold on this site separately (and cheaply), and I will be buying the SD Card and I recommend buying the card as well.

I also recommend getting the Climateline Heated Tubing as well as that will significantly help your sleep as it helps with the humidification and reduces symptoms of nasal irritation and dry mouth.

I inherited Airsense 10 Auto from a friend July 2016. After two years, it is still so quiet. I never use humidifier as keeping clean of germs causes me concern. I use N20 nasal mask now, but have used pillow type too. I shut off EPR as I like constant pressure. I set for one day only for accurate infirmation.

I am really enjoying my Airsense 10, I purchased this over 6 months ago and i really love how quiet it is, the humidifier is really easy to fill up, the machine also does not take up much space. Overall i find this machine very user friendly and i am impressed with the features it comes with. I would recommend this machine.

I bought my machine a year ago from cpapman and I LOVE IT! No problems at all, this machine is super quiet and I love how it stops when I take my mask off in the middle of the night. My wife likes it much better than the old heavy machine I had before because this one is quiet. Comes with a nice carry case for travel too.

Be careful what you buy. The "autosense" feature is crap. Used it for 15 minutes. It's going back. Very disappointing.

Have had nothing but issues with this machine. Brand new unit in January 2018, very noisy, turns out there is something internally wrong causing an air leak. Off it goes for warranty service. Provider gave me a loaner while my unit is being serviced, which after 1 night gives me an error that the heating unit isn't working. Can't help but think there are quality control issues with these units. Great unit when it works properly.

I bought/received this machine 2 years ago in March 2016 through my insurance provider. While the machine worked well for two years, it stopped working two days ago. The manufacture's technical line is for distributors only, so if you are a patient/user, you're told to call your insurance company or service provider. I also searched the internet for issues similar to mine to see if there was a fix and noted a number of blog posting with the same issue and no fix. You will need a Dr's prescription to get the machine repaired. Therefore, not only it is unacceptable that the thing broke after two years and there's no technical support, it is a hassle to get the machine fixed or repaired.

I purchased the s10 after many happy years with an s8.In many ways a fine machine but I find the humidifier tank removal and insertion very bad indeed. The tank gets stuck both with removal and insertion, the squeeze click thing simply does not have enough play to effectively unlock the tank which doesn't slide out easily. I can only imagine what it must be like for elderly and/or arthritic patients. I occasionally use it without a tank when travelling and replace the tank with the cover plate, the latching of that plate works fine , it needs to translate to the tank.

Your machine is an Auto so it starts at 4 and goes up to 20 as you need it. If 4 is too low, you can find videos on Youtube as to how to change the pressure

The built in cellular ability of the Airsense 10 Autoset will automatically update information onto the app MyAir. You can also use a data card to collect data and take to your sleep doctor for a download.

Q: My CPAP script from 2008 calls for 11.0cm H2O w/c-flex and heated humidity and was issued "PRN" (as needed refill).

My Phillips System One machine is subject to the recall so I am looking for a replacement until it is repaired/replaced.

Is this script acceptable for this machine since it is an "auto" pressure machine?
Is this script acceptable based on it's age?
