Premium Chin Strap - Black

The Premium Chin Strap (in Black) by Philips Respironics is a high-quality piece of material designed to help prevent air leaks by keeping the mouths of patients closed during therapy. This chin strap is easy to adjust and will allow patients to attain a comfortable, personalized fit without hassle. To apply, simply place your chin inside the chin cup and then wrap the strap around the top of your head; then adjust the strap to suit your particular head size and shape.

Mouth breathing can present a problem during sleep apnea therapy as it tends to cause dry mouth. The premium chin strap from Respironics will prevent your mouth from staying open and will optimize your therapy. The chin strap functions as a convenient alternative for those who do not wish to wear a full face mask.

The premium chin strap by Respironics can be cleaned by hand or washing machine. If you choose to clean your chin strap using a machine, be sure to wash it in cold water gently and then line dry it. Hand washing will usually extend the life of your chin strap by an appreciable margin, however, so it is generally recommended.

Fitting Instruction

1. Undo the Velcro at the top of the head 
2. Place the chin cup under the chin
3. Close the Velcro on the top of the head, adjust the tightness as needed
4. For added stability, attach the thinner support strap. Slide the support strap into the split section on the side of the chinstrap (only one side of the chinstrap has a split) and wrap it around the back of your head. The support strap should sit above your ears
5. Adjust the support strap as needed
