Ultra quiet design to improve your CPAP therapy, the AirFit P10 by ResMed is extremely lightweight and easy to adjust with three different pillow sizes to improve your CPAP mask performance.

AirFit P10 Nasal Pillow Mask - ResMed

ResMed devised the P10 nasal pillow CPAP mask to be even quieter and lighter than their popular Swift FX nasal pillow mask. The P10 arrives with three sizes of nasal pillows and headgear with a split strap design. Weighing in at just 1.6 ounces, the three-piece nasal pillow CPAP mask with headgear is barely noticeable against the face and nose. The mask easily slips on and stays in place thanks to an auto-adjusting fit. It also won a RedDot award in 2014 for its ultra-light, ultra-quiet design.

Features

  • Minimalist three-piece design

  • Quiet and lightweight

  • Split strap headgear

Three-part construction keeps it simple

With just three parts to keep up with, assembly, fitting, and cleaning are all worry-free. The mask frame and flexible tubing are molded into one integrated piece. The nasal pillows clip in quickly and have markers for the left and right orientation. The QuickFit elastic headgear has a split strap that slips quickly over the head and auto-adjusts to the individual’s head circumference. The split straps can be moved closer together or farther apart to fine-tune the fit of the nasal pillows in the nose and against the face.

Ultra-quiet

This mask introduces ResMed’s trademarked QuietAir woven vent meshing that directs exhaled airflow quietly away from the user and bed partner. It is so quiet that you might even wonder if your CPAP machine is on. Of course, everyone sleeps better with a quiet mask!

Nasal pillows

The mask comes with three sizes of nasal pillows (S, M, & L) to allow the user to determine the best size for them at home in their own bed. An XS pillow is also available separately if needed. The pillows have a dual cushion design that augments comfort and seal. The nasal pillows seal on contact and provide “trampoline action,” bouncing with the wearer during movement so that they stay in place without excessively tight headgear.

Sizing and Fitting

The nasal pillows should fit comfortably at the entrance to the nose. The silicone tips should fill the nostrils without spilling over. Choose the largest size that fits snugly without bulging. This mask comes with small, medium, and large nasal pillows. One of these three sizes fits most people, but an XS pillow is also available separately if needed.

Fitting

  • Hold the nasal pillows in the nose with one hand.

  • Pull the bottom strap of the split strap headgear behind the head.

  • Position the top strap of the split strap headgear at the crown of the head.

  • Pull the nasal pillows away from the face then reseat them in the nostrils.

  • Move the split straps closer together for a tighter fit or farther apart for a looser fit.

  • Connect the flexible tubing on the mask to the CPAP machine.

Adjusting for leaks and comfort

  • Verify that the pillows are inserted correctly. The right side needs to be in the right nostril. The pillows have a slight upward angle to hold them in the nostrils, so proper orientation in the mask is essential for a good fit.

  • Adjust the headgear by moving the split straps closer together.

  • Squeeze pillow sides to be sure the inner wall is in the correct position.

  • Clean the nasal pillows. Oil, dirt, and makeup can cause slippage.

  • Wash the headgear to return it to its original size if it gets too loose.

  • Try a different size of nasal pillows.

Care of the Mask

Recommended cleaning frequency

  • Daily: nasal pillows, silicone frame with attached tubing

  • Weekly: headgear

Cleaning process

  1. Wash in warm soapy water using a mild dish soap.

  2. Use a soft bristle brush on the vent.

  3. Rinse in fresh water.

  4. Dry the vent by wiping it with a cloth.

  5. All other parts should be air dried out of direct sunlight.

Important: Do not clean with products containing alcohol, scents, antibacterial agents, antiseptics, bleach, chlorine, or moisturizers. Do not soak any parts for more than 10 minutes.

FAQ

How does the AirFit P10 differ from the AirFit P10 for Her?
The P10 for Her includes an extra-small nasal pillow along with a small and medium pillow. The P10 for Her also has an attractive pink and gray color palette, whereas the regular P10 has a gray and blue color palette.

The headgear feels like it got too stretched out, and now the mask has trouble staying in place. What should I do?
First, try washing the headgear. Washing may shrink it back to its original shape. Over time, the elastic will wear out, though. Headgear on most masks should be replaced every 3 to 6 months.

Final comments

This mask is an excellent nasal pillow mask for sleep apnea therapy for people who want a light fitting nasal pillow mask, breathe through their nose, and appreciate an unobstructed line of sight. The headgear is among the easiest around to use. Really, it’s no surprise that ResMed won the RedDot award for this mask in 2014! My old one was falling apart after having used it every night for so long. It definitely needed to be replaced. This new one fits greats. Definitely worth it.

I have used this Airfit P10 nasal pillow for 11 months, every night. By far the best CPAP mask/pillow I have ever used. I have tried many types and this one is the most comfortable and produces the absolute quietest flow air possible. I love it because I can sleep easily on my side without special pillows to support or avoid nudging it etc. Important to choose the right size as there are small medium and large. It also seems to last a lot longer than the previous full nose mask I was using. Very easy to clean. Very easy tower and take off and on. Sleeping very well with zero leakage from this mask.

The airfit p10 nasal pillow is a good mask. I used to have a swift fx pillow and I thought it was already the best but when resmed brought out the airfit, I was proven wrong. This is the best nasal pillow mask there is

I bought it at launch after I saw it on the newsletter I got from these guys and I must say this is really a COMFORTABLE mask, and extremely lightweight, which is a plus

It was my first time using a nasal pillow mask instead of going with my normal nasal mask, not going to as this took some getting used to but my god I wish I would have come to this sooner. Somehow my sleep is much better and my breathing feels fuller. The biggest plus of this mask is that the headgear doesn't interact with my face at all when its worn. I have had some problems with masks that rest on my face causing my cheeks to feel sore or having marks show in the morning. (try going to a meeting and people looking at the marks on your face) (makes for funny conversation) I'm going to explore the ResMed line after this one. Thanks guys

I had just received my AirFit P10 Nasal Pillow mask from you guys and have been using it for about 3 1/2 weeks now. I must say that this is by far the best mask I've tried in a while. Its extremely light weight and almost unnoticeable when being worn. I have always been a Nasal mask type of guy and a fellow mate suggested to give this a try but I was hesitant because I was unsure of how it would feel to have something plugged up my nose. I almost feel like this made breathing more easier and natural(its kind of hard to explain) but it was so light. I took a gamble and picked up a small size for a big head and surprisingly it fit well and if I wanted to adjust it the top strap moved on top of my head and provided a more secure fit. This is the best .

Just got my new Airfit about a week ago and it's not bad. The headgear is not adjustable and can tear, but if you lower the bottom strap and your head isn't too large, you should be alright. It's a quiet mask. I had to check to make sure the air came out because it's very slight but it doesn't blow on your partner. It's not the best pillow out there but it's a good one.
