AirSense 10 CPAP Machine with HumidAir Heated Humidifier
The latest model in the line of ResMed CPAP machines, the AirSense 10 CPAP Machine sets the bar for sleep apnea therapy. One of the most significant new features in this machine is the innovative AirView data system. ResMed has built in a wireless modem into your machine, allowing physicians and specialists remote access to your sleep statistics and settings. Additionally, the AirSense 10 comes with integrated humidification, allowing users to reach optimal levels of sleep apnea therapy. With a friendly, simple interface and state of the art features, the AirSense 10 has everything a patient needs.
AirView Data
Available with the new ResMed AirSense 10 CPAP machine is the AirView data system. A wireless modem has been built into the machine, allowing a healthcare physician to remotely access and amend settings and statistics on the machine. Up to 365 days of data can be stored. This will save you a visit to the doctor's office and solve any complications that may arise quickly and conveniently. If you are at all uncomfortable with the AirView system, it can be easily disabled. Patients can put their machine into "Airplane mode" which shuts down the modem, and prevents your machine from storing data.
EPR
Included with the AirSense 10 is expiratory pressure relief (EPR). EPR provides a natural breathing experience during your therapy. The machine will detect whenever a patient exhales and reduce incoming pressure during inhalation. Patients can choose to reduce pressure by 1, 2, or 3 cm of H2O. Then, after the exhalation, the pressure returns back to normal. Sometimes a patient may experience a disturbance that lasts upwards of ten seconds. In these cases, EPR is shut down until the user returns to a normal respiratory cycle. EPR can be turned on and off at the patient's discretion.
Consistent Humidification
The AirSense 10 comes automatically equipped with an integrated HumidAir humidifier which can be used with Climate Control technology to provide consistent humidification throughout the night. The water chamber can only be filled when removed from the machine and it holds 380 ml of water.
AutoRamp
The all-new AutoRamp feature with sleep onset detection is available on this machine and can be turned on and off anytime. The AirSense 10 will deliver a low amount of pressure - beginning at 0 - as you fall asleep. With onset sleep detection, the machine will ramp up the pressure once you have successfully fallen asleep.
SmartStart
The AirSense 10 CPAP machine possesses the SmartStart feature, which is also optional. When activated, sleep apnea therapy is initiated by simply breathing into the mask. You can also turn the machine off by removing your mask.
Bright LCD Interface
The interface for the AirSense 10 is simple to navigate and possesses a brightly lit, LCD display. Also built into the machine is an ambient light sensor, which changes the brightness of your screen based on the amount of light in the room. This means patients can rise in the middle of the night, and their screen won't light up and wake your sleeping partner. The backlight also automatically turns off, making it easier to fall asleep.
ClimateAirLine Tubing
ClimateLineAir heated tubing is available for optimal humidification. The ClimateLineAir tubing is different than the ClimateLine tubing used on the S9 and the two are not interchangeable. This tubing is significantly lighter and slimmer than your general tube, and will not interrupt you during your sleep. However, users can also purchase the ClimateAirLine tubing, which is a heated tube that works with the integrated humidification system to limit adverse side effects such as rainout.
Mask Fitting
The AirSense 10 comes with a helpful setting that ensures you are wearing an efficient mask during your sleep apnea therapy. There are several different masks available to work in conjunction with this device, including various types of full face masks, nasal masks, and nasal pillow masks. The mask fitting feature detects whether or not the mask you are using is suffering from leaks or any other shortcomings. The display screen will indicate whether your mask is fastened correctly or if it requires adjustment.
