FAQ

How do I clean the Drive Medical Reusable Nebulizer Kit?
The Reusable Nebulizer Kit can be hand washed or cleaned in the dishwasher. To prevent the risk of infection, clean your nebulizer after each treatment. To avoid any treatment gaps while your nebulizer dries, it's a good idea to keep an extra nebulizer on hand.

  1. Turn off and unplug the nebulizer compressor.
  2. Detach the nebulizer tubing from the compressor.
  3. Separate the mouthpiece or mask (if using) from the nebulizer cap. Then, unscrew the cap from the medication cup and remove the baffle.
  4. Wash all the nebulizer parts (except the tubing) with warm water and mild dish soap.
  5. Rinse all parts under hot tap water.
  6. Let the nebulizer parts air dry completely before reassembly.

How often should I replace the Reusable Nebulizer Kit?
The Reusable Nebulizer Kit should be replaced every 6 months for optimal performance and to minimize medication waste.

Does the Drive Medical Reusable Nebulizer Kit contain latex?
The Drive Medical Reusable Nebulizer Kit is not made with natural rubber latex.

Do I need to disinfect the disposable nebulizer?
For an extra layer of protection, you can disinfect your disposable nebulizer daily. This helps further reduce the risk of infection.

  1. Disassemble the nebulizer.
  2. Soak all parts (except the tubing) in a solution of 3 parts hot water to 1 part white vinegar for 30 minutes. Alternatively, you can use a bacterial-germicidal disinfectant solution following the manufacturer's instructions.
  3. With clean hands, remove the nebulizer parts and rinse them thoroughly under hot water.
  4. Let all parts air dry completely before reassembly.
  5. Store the nebulizer in a clean, sealed bag.
