The Philips Respironics OptiLife Nasal Pillow Mask offers two different methods of receiving continuous positive airway pressure, through either nasal pillows or with the CradleCushion. Cushions for either option come in various sizes, particularly on the smaller scale here. A flexible tube and hose is included allowing a wide range of motion for active sleepers. Halo styled headgear is included, fitting around the head and chin for stability. The width of the frame allows a clear view for the patient as they wear the mask.
Headgear Included
The OptiLife Nasal Pillow Mask comes with lightweight, easy to use headgear. Integrated into the headgear is a chin strap, providing crucial stability and support without adding pressure points to the mask. Without any buckles or hanging straps, facial irritation is kept at a minimum. The wide frame allows a clear field of vision for the patients. This means that, as you wear your mask with headgear, you are still able to wear glasses, watch TV, or read before bed.
CradleCushion
CradleCushion is one of two options patients have with the OptiLife Nasal Pillow Mask as to how they receive their sleep apnea therapy. The CradleCushion rests at the base of the nose, almost cradling it, to deliver air. Customers sometimes prefer this method because there is less irritation. The alternative to this is to use the nasal pillows. With silicone grade material, the nasal pillows insert into the nostrils, creating a seal. Pressure points on the face are kept to a minimum, and customers also receive petite, small and medium pillows, as well as small and medium cradle cushions to find a perfect fit.
Versatile Tubing Options
Included with the OptiLife Nasal Pillow Mask is an 18' tube and a 15mm hose. The hose maintains a strong seal while providing 360 degrees of rotation. There are several positions to put your tubing into, allowing active sleepers a wide range of movement.
