AirCurve 10 VPAP ST-A
The AirCurve 10 ST-A provides effective ventilation for people with restrictive lung disorders, severe COPD as well as other respiratory insufficiencies by featuring the most sophisticated respiratory algorithm ever developed. This helps to ensure that your therapy is compliant with your exact needs. The ST-A is capable of monitoring your breathing rate and adjusting pressure depending on your inhalation and exhalation needs. You can track all of your information on the new AirView data management system, which allows you to remotely share all of your therapy data with your physician or provider. This device also features iVAPS technology (intelligent Volume-Assured Pressure Support) to control and ensure that your respiratory cycle remains smooth throughout the night.
ResMed patented proprietary mode automatically adapts to your constantly changing needs and provides an intelligent Backup Rate(iBR) which maximizes the opportune moment to breathe spontaneously. The AirCurve 10 VPAP ST-A machine features the latest and most sophisticated respiratory algorithms in any spontaneous/timed machine. The device provides inspiratory positive airway pressure and also has a backup rate to make sure that you get enough breaths per minute, even when you do not breathe spontaneously. Best of all, there are adjustable alarms for added safety to notify you when there is low minute ventilation or excessive leakage happening during therapy.
iVAPS provides VPAP ST-A users with a comprehensive solution for unobtrusive ventilation. It helps target alveolar ventilation for stable gas exchange during respiratory episodes, and is simple to set up if needed. The overall effiency and tolerability have been determined and it applies a form of secondary pressure when needed Improving blood gases effectively as a standard pressure mode is key thanks to overall pressure support due to automatic response.
EPR is capable of determining when you are breathing unnaturally: if you have an apnea that lasts for more than ten seconds, EPR will stop functioning -- meaning air pressure will be constant -- until your normal breathing cycle resumes.
AirView Data Management Service
ResMeds AirView data storage and management system is the world's most innovative and effective data interface. With AirView, your sleep therapy data will be uploaded instantly onto a shared storage system, which will allow your physician immediate access to your information remotely. AirView installation and setup comes free with any purchase of an AirCurve device.
SmartStart and SmartStop
The AirCurve 10 ST-A allows you to start and stop your therapy with just a single breath. After you've programmed your prefered settings into your machine, you can commence therapy simply by turning the machine on and breathing into your connected mask. Using SmartStop is just as easy: to conclude therapy, just remove the mask and your machine will automatically shut down after a few seconds.
ResMed overhauled their humidifier in the AirCurve series. The new HumidAir heated humidifier is a part of every AirCurve VPAP and the design is smaller than the humidifiers in previous ResMed models. This makes your entire machine smaller and more portable. For patients who don't normally use heated humidification, you still have the option of removing the humidifier from the device entirely, or not filling the water chamber. For those who do prefer to use heated humidification, simply fill the 380 ml water chamber and enjoy the benefits of rainout and nasal congestion free therapy.
ResMed incorporated a brand new ramp in all AirCurve machines, including the 10 ST-A. For the first time, you can set your ramp to delay the onset of air pressure by as many as forty-five minutes, which will let you fall asleep naturally and without a sudden infusion of air pressure. All you have to do is determine how long you want to delay the onset of pressure and then simply start the machine: after a time, the machines ramp will kick in and incrementally increase pressure until you reach your desired settings.
Bright Screen, Intuitive Controls
ResMed designed the AirCurve 10 ST-A with the user in mind. That is why the device comes with big buttons, a brightly lit LCD screen, and an intuitive scrolling system that allows you to adjust your settings quickly and easily. The machine is also able to adjust screen brightness depending on ambient light, allowing you to see your screen perfectly at any time of day or night.
(Optional) Heating Tube
The AirCurve 10 ST-A machine is compatible with ResMeds latest heated breathing tube, the ClimateLineAir. Like a normal tube, the ClimateLineAir connects your AirCurve to any CPAP mask on the market. The tube carries warm air from the humidifier up to your airways, which helps fight unwanted sleep apnea therapy symptoms like nasal congestion and rainout.
The AirCurve 10 ST-A offers users a unique mask fitting feature, which is able to detect the quality of your seal. When you put on your mask, your machine will display a face: if the face is smiling, that indicates that the mask is sealed properly. If the face is frowning, you'll know that you need to adjust your mask for proper therapy.
