Brand New AirSense 10 for Her from ResMed
AirSense 10 for Her
The latest addition to the line of ResMed CPAP machines, the AirSense 10 for Her is the very first machine specifically designed for the female sleep apnea patient. Equip with FDA approved algorithm designed to respond to upper respiratory disturbances, further alleviating obstructive sleep apnea. Tracking and recording sleep data has become much easier with AirView, which uses a wireless built-in modem. The AirSense 10 comes equipped with a integrated humidifier, has the option of a heated ClimateLineAir tube, and an AutoRamp feature to help you fall asleep.
For Her Machine
The first ever machine specifically designed for the female demographic. ResMed has developed an FDA approved "For Her" algorithm that tracks upper respiratory disturbances found in the patient. The machine will respond immediately to any respiratory incident, altering pressure after a single unnatural breath. Additionally, the machine features an aesthetic floral-themed design which should appeal to the female user.
Expiratory Pressure Relief (EPR)
The AirSense 10 comes fully equipped with EPR, which can be turned on and off. This is handy during the night as patients may suddenly have a difficult time breathing. When a patient experiences a disruption, EPR will turn off until the user's breathing returns to normal. This will allow the patient to have a natural, comfortable exhalation during sleep. The for Her version of the machine responds even faster to upper respiratory disruption than other typical CPAP machines.
One of the headlining features of the AirSense 10 is the AirView data system. This is a new way of tracking and recording sleep statistics using a built-in modem allowing up to 365 days of data to be transferred wirelessly to your physician or technical specialist. This makes it easier for healthcare physicians to monitor and track information in regard to your sleep apnea therapy, and solve any problems you may encounter without a visit to the doctor's office. For patients who do not wish to have extensive data tracking, the machine can be placed in airplane mode, which makes it impossible to track data remotely. In this case, the data will be stored via SD card.
Humidification is standard on the AirSense 10 for Her machine. With Climate Control technology, the integrated HumidAir humidifier can be combined with the optional ClimateLineAir heated tube to provide optimal humidification for the patient. This allows for consistent humidity throughout the night. To reduce complications this will be supplied automatically so users don't have to navigate through menus and alter settings. Additionally, the water chamber must be removed from the machine to be refilled.
The SmartStart/Stop function is an optional feature for the AirSense 10 for Her machine. When this is enabled, all a patient has to do is breathe into the mask for it to start. The machine will also stop after a few seconds once the mask is removed.
AutoRamp with Sleep Onset Detection
The AutoRamp delivers a low amount of pressure as you lay in bed and attempt to fall asleep. You can even have it provide no pressure at all. Using sleep onset detection, the machine will gently ramp up to the appropriate pressure level for you to receive proper therapy once the machine detects you are fast asleep.
Instantly know whether your mask fits or not: when you put your mask on, an icon will pop up alerting you whether your mask is on properly or if it needs adjustment.
SlimLine Tubing comes standard with the AirSense 10. Exclusively produced by ResMed, the SlimLine tubes are lighter and slimmer than your average tube allowing for more flexibility. In addition to the SlimLine, patients have the option of using the ClimateLineAir heated tube. This tube will be used in conjunction with the humidifier to deliver warm air to patient which helps alleviate side effects like nasal congestion and rainout. It is important to know that the ClimateLineAir is not interchangeable with the ClimateLine tubing used on the S9.
Bright LCD Screen
Featured on the ResMed AirSense for Her model is a high contrast, brightly lit LCD screen. This makes it easy to read and navigate the menu and customize settings. There is also an ambient light sensor which automatically adjusts the brightness of the screen based on how much light is in the room. If ever in the middle of the night when you rise to use the bathroom or get a glass of water, the back light on the screen will remain dim as to not disturb your sleeping partner. The screen will automatically go dark, allowing the patient to sleep easy as well.
